The tea plant, Camellia Sinensis, was discovered over 4,500 years ago and tea is now the second most consumed beverage in the world, after water.

When you visit us, you can choose a traditional tea service at our TeaBar, where you can sample all of our teas and learn about their origins and different qualities. For this we use a ‘guywan’ to brew multiple, separate steepings, each successive extraction reveals a different flavour from the same leaves. We provide tea tasting notes for you to record your own memories and differenciate the teas.

Alternatively, you can enjoy your chosen tea using our unique ‘Attic Tea Filter’ at your table with a delicious piece of cake. We provide a timer so you know how long to brew your tea before filtering it and this system provides the perfect cup, as teapots often allow the tea leaves to overbrew.
